About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to manage financial transactions, records, and reporting for our real estate operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in bookkeeping, support budgeting processes, and maintain financial compliance across property and client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records for property transactions, rent collections, and client accounts
Prepare and reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and financial reports
Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner
Monitor accounts receivable/payable and follow up on outstanding payments
Assist in budget preparation and expense tracking for ongoing projects
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal control policies
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Requirements
HND/B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounting/finance role (real estate experience is an advantage)
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Excel)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
ICAN/ACCA certification (or in view) is a plus.
